Eligibility for International Students
For the 2026–27 international undergraduate admission cycle, HIU's Official Notice No. 288/TB-HIU sets out the following general requirements:
- Completion and graduation from upper secondary/high school education or an equivalent qualification.
- Clear personal background, with no criminal record.
- Good health.
- Applicants from English-speaking countries are exempt from the English-language requirement stated in the notice.
- Other applicants should meet the stated English-language requirement, approximately equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or another accepted equivalent certificate, valid at application and issued within the specified two-year period.
HIU Admission Evaluation (30-point scale)
- High school academic performance – maximum 10 points
- Academic aptitude interview – maximum 10 points
- English proficiency interview – maximum 10 points
Indian students should separately ensure that they meet all applicable Indian eligibility requirements, including NEET and National Medical Commission requirements, before taking admission to a foreign medical programme.
